i have a 2002 206,138gti and to cut a long story short im having a mare of a time sufferin almost a full second between flooring the accelerator pedal and any revs occuring in the engine?ive had old astras and sherpa vans that responded loads better than this so what can i do?ive tried putting adjustment on the engine end of the cable-which worked at first,7mnths ago that is,but no matter where i pin it now it takes an age to respond.

There must be an easy answer/solution to this,i just dont know what just yet?please if you have any ideas or solution please post them here, thanks guys.............i must be losing 2-3 seconds on a 0-60 time having changed gear twice?i know i can ride the throttle if the occasion came up i just prefer not to...cheers.

If you press-down the pedal in neutral and then let go, do the revs take a while to drop to idle?
Like they hang-around 2000rpm, before they drop to idle again?

Have you done all service items like sparks, filters etc?
How many miles on the clock?

Do you have a diagnostic (EOBD) of some sort?
