Hey guys, I have a phase 1, 52 1.4 glx, was just wondering, if I got a pair of crystals, is there anything else i ahve to worry about like features or anything not working correctly, or is it just as simple as buying a h4 to h7 adapter floating around on here? and then just plug and play? - no settings, no issues etc.?
And what about the rear, same story, phase 1 to phase 2, how does that work? Is that just plug and play?
Cheers guys, any help much appreciated!

I think you will need a relay along side if your current lights are h4.
Other than that its just informing your insurance of the change

What do you mean by a relay? What does that do?
- Lol, and i know that whole debate about insurance, but tbh with you, the things im doing, ive seen inconsistencies in peugeots manufacturing, and some phase 1 cars coming with phase 2 lights etc. and i dont ever plan to upgrade to a non peugoet part, not to mention its only 3rd party.... (do with that block of text what you will lol, i aint saying nothing )

Yeh, but the only answers that got was stuff i already knew, aka the h4 to h7 adapter, and someone asking if the op wanted to buy crystals. I dont. lol I didnt want to hijack the guys thread asking my own questions and confusing the poor bloke!
EDIT: and yeh still not really answered, like someone above mentioned a relay, ive not seen that before, this is why i asked, because i dont know what that means?? (thats a question lol not being sarcastic or nothin) i just thought just bang in a h4 to h7 converter and itll be as if nothigns changed except shinier lights, but obviously there's more.

Bumpage, basically what i wanted to know was, that besides buying a h4 to h7 connector (because i cant make it myself) i read vague descriptions of things like relays adjustors, and maybe a bunch of other crap that i may have missed. I really just wanted to know what else somebody would need to fit crystals to there phase 1 pug!!! something about dipped and something as well, as you can see i am an epic noob!
Sorry, and thanks again in advance guys!

i have done this upgrade. The cable you may need to change your headlights should include a relay with the cables, not a clear picture but you should be able to get the idea. if you get this cable it is all you will need apart from the two headlights
all you will need is this cable and the two new headlights.
however, your age of car may already have the H7 plugs taped down underneath your headlights. if this is the case you will need a BSI update and you wont need the cable with the relay to upgrade to the crystal headlights just the plugs already taped down.
making sense now?

Yes!! Thank you very much mate, you're awesome, some people dont remember what it is like to be clueless about something, and take for granted that they know how to do it, and even if 'common sense' is applied, it is still frustrating because you need to know if you know everything and havent missed any details, but thats done the job mate cheers! - Did you buy your cables from off of here? Someones home-made ones?

i bought them off here but they arent the homemade ones. they were the proper Valeo adapter kit.
its the sort of kit that you get when you buy the firedance or china blue masked headlights off ebay. i think the ebay seller bloke was on here before the site crashed. a bit like rockinghorse s**t though im afraid so you just gotta hold out for one.
if you get stuck gimme a PM and ill see if i can help

Just buy the grey connector plugs & terminals pins from Peugeot / Citroen, fit them in place of the H4 plugs & change the headlamp stalk to double optic spec.
