Morning all,

Wondering if anyone could help me!

This morning i went out to my 206 1.6 and tried to start her up, at first it wouldnt start eventually when it started i had a cloud of blue smoke then it cut out, tried to start her again and it was turning over rapidly, and again fired up and ran roughly. Small ammount of smoke on idle.

I drove her on a 2 mile trip and she drove perfectly as she always had in the past...

Any suggestions.

Is it a common fault burning oil on the 1.6 16v engine, and what would be the likely cause of it burning oil??

Hiya

I put £20 of fuel in yesterday morning, and it was fine for the 50 miles i did then it stood for 18 hours then the problem ac cured. The oil cap looks the usual colour i have had a car before that was like mayonnaise but this is clear. I have been driving around most of the day.

I gave it a good run. So i spose the best thing to do now is see what the morning brings.
