gti 180 when i start car airbag fault comes up on screen sometimes or does same when i'm driving,is this a common fault? if so whats the cure thanks

Depends what airbag it is. Could be a faulty COMMS unit too.

have a diagnostic scan,and see what is the fault,so that you don't waste your time on working on something is not faulty,maybe the seat airbag,maybe passenger,maybe the driver,it's the connection or the comm2000 as Leck said.
