My fuel light comes on normally every Friday afternoon which I don't mind as I normally chuck £40 in and that lasts me 400 miles. Why does the dash display go out when it goes under 37 miles? It's not a problem just a curious question.

Because it's programed to in the software so you put more fuel in.

If it wasn't idiots would start bitching & moaning if they ran out of fuel before it got down near 0 miles left.
