Right guys. ive attempted to de-badge the boot but i cant for the life of me get the remaining sticky tape off! ive tried everything sticky stuff remover, polish, white spirit!
can anyone shine any light because its doing my head in, only took the 206 badge off so far

Credit card and some detailer then scratch-X (or similar) for after.
Or rub it with your finger until it comes off.

I had this problem. Get a rubber and guaranteed it will be all off in less than a minute

God damn it. why didnt i think of that. Instead i had a blister on my finger for about a week.

you can see on the 'h' of hdi where ive been at it so hard its pulled some paint off

A rubber i think it may have been painted and they have stuck the badges onto fresh paint of some widge has glued them on in spots, as there is a tiny bit of clear residue just below abit thats stuck!

I find that the residue from the badges is easier to remove when there is a bit of heat to soften it. So carefully warm it up with a hairdrier then try a product like Tardis or Citrus Glue and Tar remover with a cloth

You could try some 2400 grit paper on a small block. If you do be very carefull to try and sand only over the raised glue. If you do hit the clearcoat then dont worry too much as it will buff out with some polish. Just dont go through the clearcoat.
Edited to add where the paint has come off. Touch up base coat. Filling in the hole. But not to level. Then touch up with clear coat. Sand tos flat carefully. Then buff to finish. If you have faded paint a decent bodyshop should be able to make you a small pot of paint to match the fade.
Their is a good how to for paint chips in the how to section.

I know i was swapping fingers and burnt like 3. Then i thought there must be another way 
Rubber works well as it creates heat.
