I am having problems with my remote door locking,
thinking it might be a solenoid problem and was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on how to go about fixing it or any diagrams and pictures?

Also, is the solenoid a dealer part or could i get one from a motor factor?

thanks

Okay thanks for the tip. Ive just bought a 2004 registered 206 with 1.4 engine. When i try to lock the door with the remote (the type with 2 buttons and no L.E.D) the doors lock then immediately unlock, it will do this 3 times then doesnt respond at all and i need to use the key, the central locking works on the key. Ive seen a similar problem described on this forum and the advice was it could be a door lock servo not working. In addition i'm also getting a warning on the centre console 'Right Hand Door Open' when its shut, the courtesy light doesnt come on when the drivers door is opened (it works on the passenger door) and the courtesy light starts flashing a few seconds after i set off driving. All this is now making me think i may have a wiring problem to the drivers side door lock (which having done a bit of research appears to incorporate the solenoid or switching mechanism all in one unit) Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks James

You've done your research and have found the solution as in the interior light switch and motor are all in one unit.
The BSI is getting the signal that the door is open which is why the locks are bouncing. The interior light flashing while driving is a warning to say the door is open.

The part is around £85 from the dealers. I don't know if any Motor factors sell them. Don't even know if they are user serviceable.

Might be worth having a trundle around the scrap yards to see if you can find a matching one.

Ill give you a tip, Bezford is a bellend.

Its been a while since I've had a 206 but is there a button on the door shut (it may activate the interior light and tell the COMM's unit if a door is open)?
