Hi guys im having trouble removing front bumper on my gti180,ive seen the how to on here,but when it comes to the nuts that attatch the bumper to the wing they just keep on spinning!! any ideas??

Pull the bumper down and away from the car. Providing the nut and bolt are a little loose!

The thread has a square bit on top that clips in to bumper it must of came out try get mole grips on it or try pulling the bumper down like said above

Get some Plusgas on the nut and bolt a few days before you attempt to remove it.

i assume the square bit is spinning so like i said , dremmel it out and pop a new one in when u put it back together .
all time wasted on a 1 minute job

I had the same issue when I did mine the other day.
If you put your hand to the underside of the bolt you will feel the large square head. I solved the problem by simply pushing the square head back into its housing. When you loosen the nut the bolt falls out of the housing. Keep pushing it up until you get the nut off completely

Whatever you do don't refit the old bolts. Use new ones with copper grease on them.

I used a 20mm spanner on the square head and 10mm on the nut. Advise replace with a better nut and bolt so its easier next time.
