Today my 1.4 hdi eml came on. Then the car lost power after i tried to accelerate away from a roundabout. Suddenly it came back and drove fine for about 2 miles then again loss of power and cut out. Started again and the sequence repeated itself.

AA came and took me home and sugested a blocked filter (couldnt read code due to pre obd). I have changed the diesel filter and driven a good few miles in the car and it seems to have cured it but the eml is still on. Any suggestions to what else I should look for. Should I drive a few times to see if it clears after a few cycles. I get one beep after starting the car but its -1 so that could be the ice warning. I dont see the glowplug light flash either but that may be because engine is still warm.

Well the single beep is definately bacause the eml is still on. Car is running and syarting fine. Does the light require dealer rest to clear or does it clear if all is fixed. Also can the eml be rest by removing the battery. I would like to reset and see if it comes back as I cant het it read untill at keast next weekend.

Thanks for the help and understanding my awfull spelling in my post (phone).

I tried the 10 turns with no difference. I will try the battery off with bsi soft boot later. If this doent clear I will probably just order a peugeot planet and leads as its only £20 more than getting the dealer to read it. At least then its available for future use or anyone near me.
