My wife had some work done on her car and now the steering is much heavier than before, even heavier than my son's Peugeot 206, 1400, year 2000.
Repairs carried out by the garage are:
1. Offside front anti-roll bar linkage ball joint replaced.
2. Dust covers on both nearside and offside anti-roll bar linkage ball joints replaced.
3. Brake load sensing valve repaired.
4. New rear offside drum
5. New reservoirs and pads on both rear drums.
Is this just something she will have to now live with due the new parts or might there be something wrong?

I'd check the power steering reservoir for any leaks. Other than that, my best guess would be something to do with the anti-roll bars.

definately sounds power steering related unless your tyres are needing pumped up lol

Finally got a chance to look at the car and you were correct, when the garage carried out the repairs they obviously leaked out the power steering fluid and hadn't bothered to top up as the reservoir was completely empty.
Topped up with some new fluid and problem solved.

no probz im actually on my way to get some more because my levels low, getting the old heavy steering aswell, (hope i havent got a leak)
