Just left work and went up the road and the engine light came on . I drove to the lights, turned the engine off and on again quickly, and it was still on.

I went a further 7 miles and turned the engine off for about 4 minutes and the light didn't relight like it did previously....

The car drove normal and no obvious problems. acceleration was slow which is perfectly normal for the 1.1.

Seriously though it got me worried! any one else has this issue?

Something somewhere might be wrong...it might have stored the error in the ECU. Might be worth getting it plugged in to give you a clue if it's something you can act upon now.

All depends how it has been looked after. Perfectly reliable cars.

I throw money at it, obviously there are worse cars but i feel £170 to change an indicator stalk is a little OTT. Other parts are pricey too, but thats another tale for another day.

I do like the rear suspension though, easier to change than other cars

I thought all the parts were cheap.

For a brand new comms 2000 unit? 95 quid seems a little on the cheap side. Anyway I never said I had replaced it, simply it is expensive too replace, not got that sort of money yet.

Ok just had the code checked and it is p0202

relating to the injector on cylinder 2, usual signs include and poor acceleration (none I experienced).

I will wait to see if the code returns and forward a solution

Mine is blue.

I agree! What He Said

The 206 I've owned since 2005 has been the most reliable car I've had so far.

Doesn't go wrong & easy / cheap to service.

We see the same at work with the forklifts, if there looked after correctly ( which they are where I am ) you very rarely get any breakdowns.
