Hi guys. I plan to clean my throttle body this week on my HDi however I am struggling to find it. Can anybody assist please and post some pics if possible?

Thanks,

They don't have one as far as i know, the 2L in my 307 and my 206 donor don't anyway. Pretty sure no diesel has one.

I have a Peugeot 206 1.4 HDI and it is drive by wire - no actual physical throttle cable etc as it's all controlled by the ECU.
Have a look at your accelerator pedal and you will see 2 wires coming off it and no cable I expect.

Hi cosmicdance. I think mine has a cable because it can be adjusted by unclippingsomething then pulling it tight.

Thanks.

So how do you control the amount of air getting into the engine without a throttle body then?

well some models have a throttle body without a cable,it's complete motorized one,the ECU control it all

But it still has a throttle body in that case then, the question isn't is it cable or fly by wire, it was stated diesel's have no throttle body at all.

I was talking about a valve like a petrol has not the position sensor, for instance the way the 2L on my 307 has it is a cable going from the pedal to a sensor in the front of the engine bay, it's actually connected to a valve like the petrol engine.

I thought he meant the valve like just about every other person who asks about the throttlebody on this forum.
