I was driving my 206 earlier, and for about half an hour the car was driving sound. Then the rev counter needle kept flickering up and down and the gear stick was shaking then if I applied any pressure on the accelerator the car would cut out. It would then take a couple of mins to start again. Also the battery and oil light flash when the needle flickers.
Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the solution.

The battery is in quite good condition but the positive feed female end from the car is quite corroded

Tbh I have little knowledge on this issue. I am sure some of the guys will have a better idea. But the corroded terminal sounds like a good place to start...
