So does the ECU say 'ECU status: Locked' all the time or some of the time?
Have you checked in the BSI for everything including stored codes and real-time parameters (locked/unlocked)?

Have you done any 'work' recently on it with Planet, and are you using clone interface?

Much more info needed.

Could this fault pop up from clearing the codes too many times?
Thought I read somewhere that you could clear the codes about 50 times before the ECU locks out. Might be getting confused with something else though.

No.

Locked-Unlocked status refers to wether the ECU has received a valid code from the BSI (immo chip accepted etc) to start the car.

After 50 service entries (history) you simply can't force-clear any trouble codes which means IF it goes into limp mode you're stuck.

Ahh, thanks for that. I knew there was something about it going into limp mode.
