Hi

I went under my car yesterday to change the exhaust system, and discovered this bended hose, i think it's the high pressure hose ?

This is my first 206 Gti got it just 6 month ago, i belive that it had this bend from before, as the feeling hasn't changed.

But compared to my Mazda 3 it's "slower" or more resistent when turning the wheel.

Would this course the steering to be a little more "slow" ?

I can see in Servicebox that it's one part from the pump to the rack, will it be possible to change just the failed hose or do i need to get complete part?

Regards

206 power steering is heavy as standard.

The hose really needs replacing anyway as the kink will cause a weak point which over time could lead to the hose bursting.

That kink might have been caused by the fact it's not clipped in place. Can see the clips that are open. Or some work has been done kinking the pipe and whoever did it was a big enough cowboy to not refit the clips or replace them if they were broken.

Strange for a rubber hose to kink like that though.

The clips Where in place to begin with, i opened the clip as i had to remove the sub frame

Can the hose be changed or do i need a complete replacement from pump to rack?
