I just picked up my 206... 2.0 HDI (03) with 66k on clock. First thing I did when I got home was download the ECU BIN and a full PP2000 check and found:
No errors on BSI
No errors on Engine ECU
No errors on Airbag ECU
Injector corrections looking good! (all within +/- 1)
Other engine parameters all good!
Now the interesting bit...
Radiator fans work on LOW
But on HIGH they do not work, just hear click click click click.
I assume as I can hear the click, the relay must work and as the fan works on low that must be working too. So I guess I am looking at either another relay somewhere else, a fuse or a corroded wire(s).
I looked on here how to access the relays and they say to remove the grille. I did this but it doesnt seem to allow access to anything. If your facing the car it looks like there is a big cover held on by clips to the left of the leftmost rad fan. I guess there in here?? If so it looks like a bumper off job.
Anyway I was just wondering what more experienced people here thought. Including - is there even a point in fixing it on a HDI?
Nice forum btw Hopefully when I learn the car more I can become more helpful.

You can get the cover off by removing the front upper grille.

tbh this is a case of premature posting. after doing a much more detailed trawl of here i found a wealth of information on how to fix it. looks like ill be needing new fan wiring loom and relays to get it right.
as its a HDI i'll see how it goes. i used to have a 306 hdi with NO fans at all (slow/high both dead) and just learnt to keep an eye on the gauge...
as the relay is clearly engaging I would assume a snapped wire (which is my worst nightmare - i hate soldering!)
also your right. I only had a very quick look today (so quick infact I could have sworn I seen two different fans on the front like on 406's - but its actually just one big one
anyway thanks for the reply. I'll make sure to do more reading before posting next time!

there's a resistor right on the front of the radiator housing ( behind front bumper ) that's prone for the wires corroding and snapping
