The only reason I have a 206 still is because I've spent so much money fixing the bleddy thing that I can't afford to buy a new car yet!

the reason I still have mine is that I rarely see any other modified 206 round by me and I still really like the way they look

Mines only done 14 miles since the MOT in September 2012...so I'm never going to wear it out at this rate. It will last forever.

It's difficult to find clean examples of 206 gti's here in nz. |
In the UK it's difficult to find clean examples of any 206 as around 80% of them have now been bastardised |
I blame halfords personaly lol |
I blame a lack of decent Saxo's available for them to ruin | After saying I haven't seen any for a while, I just had a black 206 behind me with the huge decals on the side with 206 written down the side.
Yeah I see what you mean though, mine never went wrong, 1.4, 1.6 or 2.0 hdi, never had a problem and even if it did go the sheer amount of parts available are easy. |
That one I believe lives around Hereford. I see it frequently!
To keep on topic I don't have one anymore.. Mine *broke* many years ago! Now got a BMW and a RX8. Not quite the same... Both cost a fortune to run!

It's cheap to run, very rarely goes wrong & you can leave it anywhere & not worry about it. |
This 100%
Since changing the the thermostat on mine it's back to it's old ways mpg wise.. Last tank was a calculated 38 mpg, computer showing 39.2 mpg.
Although it's had a starter motor and new top mounts in the last couple of weeks it's the most I've spent on it in years.

And what properties does a 206 have that stops burglars, that every other car doesn't? Do you not think this may be a coincidence, not the fact its a 206..? LOL

Was it on a trailer?
My 1.1 would get maybe 50 miles on £15!

£15 = 11 litres (2.42 gallons).
200 miles on 2.42 gallons = 82.65 mpg
