like titlle above i wonder if standalone ecu still need using bsi, as i know bsi help control signal, fuel pump bla2, i there any way to get rid it the bsi..?

You need all the original wiring and ECU parts to run the clocks etc.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

the ecu will only run the engine aspects you need the orginal ecu etc to run the clocks and internal swtiches etc

Spike has had his original ECU removed...so it must be possible to remove it...not sure how though.

You would need to wire all your switches etc separate into a fuse box. That's what I've done anywat

thats means the standalone will become piggyback to the original ecu??

oh mate u take out your ecu, then each switch will plug in to new custom look? look like mental job for me

You could probably get the engine running without it as it won't require the standing matching but you would have to do everything else custom to be actually able to drive it.

yup true, in that case i think im going to use the piggyback ecu,

cant stand ecu+bsi problem on my car
