Hi to all

I have recently bought a 2002 206 gti multiplexed and i have an annoying and potentionally dangerous fault on the indicators. Basically when i turn on the indicators i get a few flashes on the indicators then then stop and the head lights come on for a few seconds then go off..... I dont want people to mistake me for giving way to them by the headlights coming on then going off. I am hoping there is any easy fix for this ie rebooting the bsi?

Any help is greatly appreciated Smile

Thanks Graeme

Buy a new com2000 unit.

Eurocarparts & get a new Valeo unit with 12 month warranty.

Its the complete indicator / wiper stalk unit that lives behind the steering wheel.

Should be around £150 for a new GTI spec com 2000 unit.

The Valeo unit's that Eurocar parts sell are a lot better quality then the original units Peugeot fitted at the factory.

I changed my crappy Delphi one last year & you can feel the Valeo is a much more sturdy com unit.

Buy new. You can't be 100% certain that a second hand comms unit is going to be any better or it could last you a couple of months before it starts playing up again. At least with a new one, especially the Valeo ones, you know that they are going to give you a few years of trouble free operation.

If you look at carparts4less (ECPs online company) you can sometimes get them even cheaper. £15 off when you spend over £100. This usually works out cheaper than using a discount code on ECPs website.

www.carparts4less.co.u...260/p/home £145.20 - £15 (CP15LESS) will make it £130.20

www.eurocarparts.com/s...260/p/home £200.40 Can't see any discounts on those at the moment

I had a very similar fault where my indicators came on all by there own when driving over a speed bump or when i indicated i had to fiddle around with the stalk to get the indicator to stop!

I was told i need a new comms2000 unit which i simply couldnt afford but found a simple fix online which basically involves taking the stalk out, getting a cloth and cleaninf the little iron filings out of the indicator track or what ever you want to call it, spray some wd45 in there and good as new Smile if this sounds similar i will find the tutorial online and private PM it to you
