Ok, so about 2 and a half years ago I lowered the 206. Down 40mm on bilstein shocks. At the same time I replaced the top mounts. Since then I have had continual knocking. However, over the last 2 years I was at uni and the car wasn't driven much, so I just left it.
Now that I've finished uni, the car is being driven on a daily basis by the other half. So I decided it all needed sorting. I've now replaced the drop links, bottom arms and the d bushes. This solved the knocking and it seemed everything was good. Now for some reason I can hear creaking when doing slow manoeuvres. Could this be the top mounts gone already?
Now considering raising the car back to standard ride height. Lowering seems to have caused nothing but problems
Cheers!

Coming from the front. Never had any issues with the rear.

I had a similar problem and when I had a look at the lower drop link whilst the wheel was down on the floor, I found that there was a very small gap between the nut and arb. I found that the nut must be tightened whilst the spring/damper is compressed, take a look and youll see what I mean, its down to the angle the lower droplink joint when you tighten it
