On a 2000 (pre plexed) 206 I have a problem with the central locking. I have scoured the forums for ages and have found lots of posts, but nothing definitive to this issue. I was trying to locate a different fault by taking out, checking, and replacing fuses in order but obviously I have put the wrong fuse in the wrong location during this process and now the central locking doesn't work.
There are a series of clicks from the fusebox, but nothing as far as locking or unlocking the doors or flashing the lights is concerned. Can someone give me the correct location for the fuse. On the list in the 206 talk section there is a section on this, but in the list of fuses in the box, the central locking is not mentioned so I have no idea which fuse I mixed up.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank you for your reply. I have seen that posted before but the slot for fuse 16 doesn’t have a fuse in it, unless I'm reading the numbers wrong. There are two 30amp fuses in the box, but the list I have seen on here says there should be more. I have checked visually all the other fuses and they look ok. I have tried resyncing the key and that does nothing but I can still hear clicking from behind the fuse box. The indicators don't flash either. Can you give me any more ideas?

well you might have a problem with one lock of your car,specially the 2 masters ,the driver's door and passenger door.

Hi guys,
Dunno if you can help me as your problem is similar.
I have just got rid of my 206 3 door 1.1 as the ecu went and I have purchased a 206 1.6 5 door glx. The only issue is the central locking is a bit dodgy.
The boot doesn't lock at all and the back drivers side door will not move when pressing the key fob.
The rest of the doors do move when pressing the key fob but they bounce back and unlock the car. Even when doing this manually the doors bounce back 5-6 times before eventually locking.
All I want to know is where the fuse is located. Is it in the fusebox in the engine or is it the one under the drivers side dashboard? also am I looking for the same fuse as above. I figure if i remove the fuse it should stop the doors from bouncing back when locking manually. This should solve my problem until I have chance t fix the issue.

This does not sound like a fuse issue if your locks are bouncing you have an issue with one of the door locking mechanisms. I would suggest the rear drivers side door or boot.

Hi, I know the issue itself isn't caused by the fuse but what I'm thinking is that if I remove the fuse completely it will stop the CL working completely. Which means with the CL disabled if I lock the car manually it won't bounce back?
A short term fix to stop the car unlocking while I fix the main issue.

It might be me being extremely thick but I can't find the passenger fusebox!
I can see the fusebox under the steering column and also the fusebox in the engine bay but for the life of me cannot fine a passenger one!!
Do I have t remove some of the dash or is there something I'm missing?

The fusebox below the steering wheel is what is referred to as the passenger compartment fusebox, so yes you have found the right one.

Fantastic, although I've checked the diagram above against the fuse box and it looks nothing alike.
This old picture from here matches mine
is what mine looks like, and there is a slot 16 (the diagram on the link above shows slot 16 being the central locking fuse but there isn't a fuse in 16 in either the picture above or my car!
