Hello

If i fit a aftermarket stereo will it mess up the display or is there something i need to do ??

It won't use the display if that's what you are asking ...

What year?

Early models (non-plex) are easier as the radio isn't coded to the BSI unit.

But you will also need to get adaptor for the remote stalk if you want to keep it and a fasia adaptor on earlier models where the original radio is not a rectangle!

To be honest plexed is just as easy. No facia required. A different stalk adapter is required but it is still plug and play. The display does not display radio information but the clock, trip computer, etc work as normal.

So you won't need a fascia adapter, it won't connect to the MFD (display on top of dash) ... but you will need a remote adapter if you plan to keep it and might need to get BSI reprogrammed to avoid faults.
