I'm finding it increasingly hard to get 1st and 2nd gear with my 206 (it's an 03).
2nd has always been quite "hard" but this morning I pulled up at a roundabout on the A10 and couldn't find either 1st or 2nd, i.e. the usual position for them was just loose as hell and drive not engaged. I managed to pull away in 3rd really slowly.
I made it to a car park and played around a bit. Managed to "find" them again and satisfied myself it was OK enough to get me to work. Still quite a bit of force needed to get 2nd and 1st to an extent.
Any tips? (Buy a new car is what I was thinking - expensive option).
Cable or hydraulic, how long has the clutch been in.

Possible issue with linkage rods if it's not cable. Could also be that the wrong oil has been put in in the past but i doubt it as its normally just stiff and notchy if that's the case.
