is there a specific way the springs on the 206 should be inverted on new shock bodies. finishing a job and am not sure ! the springs is fitted with blue dots at the bottom if that is relevant......

Not relevant.
Blue dot is not for orientation, it's identification for stiffness length etc on OEM springs.
Make sure the 'ends' are seated properly on the small step on the damper and the top mount and that's it.

spring is defo not located properly in top mount ! going to remove and invert the spring as i think it was fitted upside down by yours truly.....
