I was driving my car when it seemed to have a loss of power pulled over turn car off & back on all was ok. Then driving home the engine management light came on. I disconnected the battery reconnected it now the car seems to have total loss of power not enough power to reverse the car. Rev's wont go abover 1000rpm.
Im thinking it's gone into limp mode? Anyone got any ideas?

The diagnostic light eluminates when you have an emmisions problem, try this method i read somewhere to come out of limp mode as a temparary measure.
With the ignition turned on leave on for 10 secs or so not touching the accelerator pedal.
Then switch off the ignition and leave for 15 secs.
Now see if it has come out of limp mode, and also see if the EML light has gone out.

Hi,
I tried the above but no luck, any other ideas? I think I'll have to join the AA get them out. Not a good time of year for the car to stop working.

You will have to pay extra if you ask the aa to come out to you while your joining. I had a flat tire on a Sunday and the crappy space saver valve blew out! I joint the aa over the phone then asked them to come out. They said I would have to pay extra. Ended up taking my alloy in a minicab to Kwickfit (only place open). Still kept the cover though as I had to use it a few times

You would be best to try and get it to a trusted garage that could carry out diagnostics or have look on the Peugeot planet map on here to see if anyone is close to you
