Hi everybody
I have a very strange problem regarding the heater / fan.
The fan only works when it wants to work, generally it doesn't want to.
I have changed the fan unit behind the dash twice. It's the 206Gti with air con, so the resistor is integrated in the fan. So despite changing the unit twice, we still have the same problem.
I have also changed the digital control on the dash twice, and we still have the same problem.
I've got the replacement parts from the local scrappy, so there is a chance that the resistor or whatever might be faulty on the used parts.. But surely this wouldn't happen twice?
I'm baffled! Anybody else experienced anything similar??
Thanks
Andy

Have you had the two replacement fans actually working, like the original even though intermitantly.
Just trying to eliminate a fuse problem, (that may have blown) when fitting the second hand ones.

Hiya,
Yep the replacement fans behave in exactly the same way as the original fan. (Sometimes perfect and every speed works / sometimes doesn't work at all).
Thanks Drewden

Have you cleaned the two connectors going into the motor and out of the motor (2 pin) and (5 pin) especially the 5 pin which operates the speeds of the fan, these have a tendancy for going black and resulting in a bad connection.
