Just wondered if anyone knows where I may find a set of the speedo dial rings from a 180? I know there is some on eBay, the ones from Taiwan are far too thick, and the other ones have a piece separating the dials which does not look as good. Is the only option to buy a second hand set of dials just to take the rings off? Thanks

They aren't rings on the 180 - it is just painted a different colour around the cut-outs for the dials. Some 'normal' GTi's had them, but make sure they are from 2003 onwards (multiplexed) if you have a 180. They're easy to take off and mess with

I have a hdi, just doing the whole gti replica thing and liked the look of the rings. But year its a multiplex not preplex Never realised they are just painted, Im a professional sprayer but don't think even I could mask that shape and make a nice job trying to replicate it. Im guessing my only option is to buy a set of dials and swap the fronts over
