Hi All!

I have a Peugeot 206 (2001) 1.4. Today i discovered that the high beam doesn't work, i see the indicator led lights up(the blue) but my light goes down.(so no light at this time!) Not only one side, both side! If i switch back to low beam it works..Any idea? I checked the fuses, i see no problem there, but i noticed there are 2 fuses for the two side. I tried to disconnect cable from the right side, on the left side, but no luck. Any ideas??
Thank you!!

pre-plexed or multiplxed electrical system?
H4 bulb or H7 bulbs? Expect H4 as they cut off the power to the dipped beam filament when you turn on the high beam.

Checked the bulbs for broken filaments? I've had it happen more than once that both bulbs have died virtually at the same time (dipped beam though as they're used even during daylight here, unless the car has got dedicated DR lights).

If filaments OK, check that you have power or not in the plug that attaches to the bulb (volt meter or indicator light). Ground wire should be OK as your dipped beam works (shared between dipped/high). If no power then look closer at wiring, fuses, relays etc further upstream.

At least on a pre-plex the indicator light in the cluster looks to be strictly parallel to one of the lights (right side), after the fuse. So for it to work but not the bulb points to wiring post fuse or bulb itself.

Possibly a pre-plexed and someone has thrown the crystal headlights in, but hasn't changed the stalk or the settings in the BSI.
Pure guesses at the moment until we have more information.

If you're not sure what we are talking about with pre-plexed/multi-plexed or frosted/crystal headlights have a read of the Beginners Guide

Thanks for instructions!!:) I checked the fuses, they're all good. My car isn't have radio stalk, but i've seen eco mode warning in the past,so i think multiplexed.(i read this warning comes only with multiplexed car) It's H4. I replaced one bulb at 2days ago,but i can't remember when we used high beam before. I changed bulb because low beam not worked on the passenger side. The old bulb was black at the end. Is there any relay on this circuit?? I looked at the cables, but it seems ti be good, and i cannot found any relay there.

Thank you very much for help, problem solved!!

So, the connector to the right bulb was the first problem. I pushed stronger the connector to the bulb, i hear a "click" sound, and it started working...on the other side simply was bad bulb, but if i looked it with my eyes i cannot see any problems there...but i changed, and it started working Smile Thank you!!!!
