Hi all, new to the site and joined for ideas and help if you can please?
I recently got some new wheels for my 206 quicksilver as two of my 16" Nimrods slightly damaged and keep letting air out, I got some 17" but after buying noticed the tires would be too big and the seller wouldn't refund me, so I need some new tires (or part worns) I have seen the guide that says I need 205 - 40 - 17 but have had an offer of 205 - 45 - 17, would these do? he says yes and better, as replacements would be more expensive on the 205 - 40 - 17.
kind of paid a fair amount for the wheels and don't want to waste money on 4 or 5 part worn if they are still to big. pleas help!
If only I had seen this site before and came here first, but I know for next time! :o)

I would say no
I have 205/40/17 on my car that has standard suspension and there is only a small gap at the back of the arch and the top.you might get them on but iam sure they will catch.
you can always buy these through if you like

Well as for Autodata, the tire size listed for 17" on a 206 is only the following:
Rim Size: 7x17
Tire Size: 205/40 R17 84W
So if I were you,I would follow the manufacturer instructions.

Cheers guys,
"lukepug19" the tire size 205 - 45 - 17 that I have been offered are freebies so maybe worth the time to at least pop them on and have a go!
"omega" how much tread have yours got and how much?
"timon2210" thanks don't know what autodata is but will have a look about for that.
Thanks for the Info
Phil
