Hey all I'm just new to the site! Will try keep this short and sweet.

Basically I was installing a radio I got from my uncle in my Peugeot 206. I didn't realize that there was two bare wires in the harness and both of them touched. The radio stopped working and wouldn't switch on at all. I assumed I probably fried the head unit but this wasn't the case as it works perfectly in my dads car. I know a good bit about cars so started off checking all the fuses but none were blown. I put my old cassette player back in the car but now it's asking for the code everytime I turn the car off which would make me believe that it's not getting the permanent supply it needs but all my stations stay tuned to it? Any ideas anyone? Thank you Smile

Have you swapped the red and yellow wires?

Wouldn't be the wires because the radios were both working fine until the two wires touched.
