alright guys wander whether you guys can help not a 206 but still a Peugeot my father in law has got a 306 1.4 8v. when we brought it would not hold its idle so I automatically assumed ICV. I have since fitted a second hand one which held its idle but every known again it would randomally rev up to bout 2-3000rpm and it would not settle till you touch the accelorator peddle a few times. we have just brought a brand new and I fitted it this evening and as soon as you start the car it revs straight up about 3000rpm any ideas because I have no eml lights on and no codes stored any ideas on what could be the cause thanks for any help you can provide

Sticking throttle or throttle cable? Have you also cleaned the choke body?
Does it go back to its old self if you fit the old ICV?
Split vacumn or recirculating pipe intermittently sucking air?
