Hi guys got 2 small oil leaks on my 180, first 1 is coming from the oil filter it seems to be weeping slightly? I checked it's all tight btw.. Second 1 is coming from the gearbox, either from the drives haft or the drainage plug , any ideas?

1st one is probably the seal between the Heat Exchanger and the block if its not leaking from the Oil Filter seal itself or anywhere above that.
Clean the area with some brake cleaner, run it and see if you can spot where it comes from.
2nd one is probably the Driveshaft Seals, easy fix and common problem.
However when i bought my 180 the rear cam cover had clearly been leaking slightly for some time and over time the oil had run down and was giving the impression of a leak from the gearbox, so just double check its definitely gearbox oil first (the smell will be a good giveaway if you're not sure)

Don't think so mate but its fairly simple. Bit trickier for the drivers side one if its that one, due to the intermediate bearing carrier half way along.
For the short shaft (Passenger side)
-Get the car up in the air on stands with the wheel off
-Drain the gearbox oil (Square drive)
-Undo hub nut(35mm)
-Remove the balljoint on the bottom arm from the hub assembly (cant remember if its 16 or 18?)
-Pull driveshaft out, may need to give it a few kind of sharp tugs, but dont go too mad.
-Can lever the old seal out carefully with a small prybar or lever etc
-Clean area up with some brake cleaner and a rag
-Fit new seal using a socket which fits around the outer edge of the seal to drive it in square (if you dont have the different size tools)
-Smear a tiny amount of oil on the inner edge of the seal and refit driveshaft
-Refit balljoint
-Refit hub nut
-Refill gearbox oil and refit the wheel.
Its basicly the same for the other side except there's a small tab you have to slacken off and rotate slightly on the bearing carrier to allow it to slide out, you may also find you have to give it a bit of a clout to get it to move initially.
Im pretty sure i havent forgotten anything but im trying to remember from off the top of my head so someone may be able to correct me if so.
Hope that helps.
