Hi all my wife's 206 runs really rich and cuts out when you come off the throttle and the revs drop. I've changed so many parts !

New temp sensor, new thermostat, new map sensor, new coil pack, second hand ecu and bsi.

But it's still the same, so now I'm thinking about the injectors, looking on eBay all the injectors for the 1.6's seem to be orange or blue, but the ones in this car are black so I'm wondering if someone had fitted some different ones at some point ? From a 2.0 or something.

And if the black ones are correct can I still fit some orange ones off eBay ?

Thanks,

Instead of repeatedly just throwing parts at it in the hope of stumbling across the problem, why don't you find a mechanics / garage that can diagnose the fault correctly.

I read the fault codes on the ecu but there was only a generic misfire code which never came back. And the thing that worries me about garages is all the bits I've read on forums from people who've had all the parts changed that I have and still not cured their problems and then they have £600 labour bills to pay too.

It's fixed now, it needed another map sensor, the spike that killed the bsi seemed to have effected the map sensor I had fitted. (It was a constant 101kPa on obdii)

Only concern is map supply voltage is 5.6v which is 0.6 higher than I'd expect so I'll keep an eye on how long the map sensor lasts, as the voltage reg in the ecu may be bad, I think I'll just stick a regulator on the map supply if it does need to come down as the ecu seems to be working well. Cheers
