Hello! time to show some love to the car again Very Happy

Planning to buy this bench vice for me garage

Would I be able to press the old bushes out of the lower arms with this?

In order not to McGyver too much, would like to buy some assorted rigid cylinders for such kind of press-out, but failed to find them on sale. Is scrappy really the only option or am I just bad at googling ebay and amazon?

Ta!

A trip to local hardware shop in order. Yet, has anyone tried to vice out bushes, before I go ahead Smile

A decent vice would be possible, a cheap vice you risk snapping the cast Laughing

Large socket, small socket and threaded bar usually works for changing bushes! No need for special cylinders etc.

Iv used a vice to press bushes many times, works a treat. Iv got a big old record vice though, it's pretty much indestructible Very Happy

As above, a couple of sockets works well or you can buy a dolly set of eBay for around £20 that's handy to have lying about.

There you go - click

You'll still need a vice or a bit of threaded bar to do the "pressing" though.
