Hello Everyone,
Basically for about 3 months now the engine has been cutting out completely when driving. It's only happens when slowing down and changing a gear, Or when taking off in first or when going into second, It's cut out when iv'e been half way around a round about, going onto one etc, It's a 1.1 and the petrol doesn't last well either. Also most of the time when i start the car it doesn't start, But always on the second time. Iv'e been to a garage and they said it could be something to do with the fuel pump, and to take it to a peugeot garage as they can only fix it.

Can anyone help with what this could be?

A common problem is the earth strap to the gearbox corroding and causing problems. Also check that the battery connections are tight. If it's heavy on fuel, you might want to clean the throttle body. How old is your battery? Is it healthy? Did the garage check the alternator?
