Hi all.
I'm just wondering if the 180s cable selectors can wear out or is there a way to reset/realign it all?
I know on a vauxhall I had you could use a drill bit to lock the selector in position to realign it all.
If I use reverse it can be hard to get the gear stick back out and going into 5th can be a little vague.
Its had a new clutch new gearbox oil so the only thing I'm wondering is the selector.
Thanks

you can replace it with a new one,and new cables as well, this will make the gear shift better.

I'm also interested in this topic as I have similar play in my gear selector.
Does anyone have a guide for the replacement of the selector cables etc to ensure correct alignment before and after removal.

Hi all. Stripped off and cleaned the selector then copper greased.. Seems much smoother. Only 3 bolts to remove the selector. There's another bolt on the top of the selector which allows the cylindrical part to all seperate. This houses two delicate gaskets so be careful.A little more greasing in there to make it all silky smooth.
