Not sure if the TU3A engine was the fly by wire throttle rather than the cable. Someone will be able to say though. |
That's great however where do I buy the APP sensor as I cant seem to find it online?

If you need a accelerator position sensor, then you won't need the throttle position sensor as pretty sure the sensor is part of the throttle body on the motorised unit.
PM me the last 8 of your VIN and I'll check in servicebox what set-up you have.

Yeah I just PM you.
I thought the APP sensor was in the assembly behind the gas pedal?

I'm thinking the reason you can't find a TPS listed for your car is because it doesn't have one, as such. It's a complete unit at roughly £250. The APP sensor is built into the pedal and is around £105

Ok so i have to buy the whole throttle body to get the tps sensor? Im sure there's used tps sensors that has been removed from the throttle body for me to buy.
what if i buy a gas pedal, will the pedal will have APP sensor included? I take it that the APP sensor is number 2 in the pedal diagram?

Number 2 stops the pedal marking the carpet. You will need the pedal to get the APP.
The throttle position will be known by the ECU since the ECU is already controlling the throttle, so no need for a separate TPS.
What makes you think they need replacing?

Well I would suggest you doing these 2 things, and hopefully you will have this problem fixed, since your car got a motorized butterfly,so you need do the following:
1-Take the throttle body off,and clean it,it may look diff.,but all works the same.
www.206info.co.uk/Foru...46523.html
2-After you clean it,you need to have access to pp2000,so that you can reset the throttle body, and this process will be done when car is cold ( below 30oC) coolant temp.

Good luck.

I remember cleaning the throttle body 2 years ago however I didn't reset it by using PP2000.
How do I get PP2000 on my diagnostic code reader?

PP2000 is a Peugeot Planet 2000,it's the special diagnostic software used by Peugeot, you can buy it,or ask around to see if there is a close member who can help you with that.

Oh I see. I have a windows 8 laptop so will PP2000 work on windows 8?
Also what cable do I need to connect the laptop to my car?

I've got more chance of winning Monaco F1 grand prix this weekend in my 206 then Planet even installing on Windows 8 let alone working
A lot of people with Windows Vista / 7 & 8 install it in to a XP virtual machine BUT even that is risky if Planet crashes while your tinkering with the BSI unit settings.

So i take it that PP2000 only works on win xp. That software sounds really outdated. Surely peugeot dealership themselves cant be using this ancient software now. When they gonna release PP2014?

The dealerships now use Diagbox which is the updated version.
Although it is available as a copy, I've yet to find someone that has got the activation crack to work.
PP2000 is adequate enough for the 206, after all outdated software works on an outdated car.
Which ever software you use, you'll still need the Lexia 3 interface.

Ok what does everybody think about using PP2000 to reset the throttle body, do you think this will fix my problem? If so can I kindly ask anyone in Birmingham that has a PP2000 setup that I can use to reset the throttle body? I will travel.
