Just bought an 1.4 estate car, and am delighted with it. One very very minor problem, with the rear luggage cover, which extends like a roller blind. The material is coming away from the roller and I can see no way of dismantling it to re-attach it. Any suggestions?

Replace it with a decent second hand one from scrapyard or ebay. Dealers will charge you either £135 or £153 depending on colour for a new one.
