Hi hoping anyone can help get rid of this annoying fault. Ok so it a 2.0 hdi 2002 150,000 miles. My problems first started a few months ago when it started to over heat and blowers was cold found the water pump inpella had collapsed so replaced the pump with one that has a metal inpella and also changed the thermostat, all was well untill I decided to take one of the pipes of the side of the header tank and remove the spring clip to help a mate out but pulled the plastic lug off! So I just put the pipe into the tank and left the cap off. Drove like this for a few weeks till pay day and brought a 2nd hand one. So fitted this filled with water and bleed but noticed the temp wouldn't get above 65-70 while driving and takes an hour just idling to reach 90 so changed the Coolant temp senor, filled with coolant and beld but still the same problem. Also the top hose seems to get hot about 64c but doesnt feel like it pressurising. Any ideas anyone?
Sorry is so long wanted to make sure enough info was there.
