Please could someone help with some advice on how to rectify the above problem? Do I need to change the whole comms unit or is there a small speaker somewhere which I can change to bring the ticking sound back?
My 206 is a 55 plate.
Many thanks.

The sound comes from the relay I believe so it could be that or the stalk not working correctly. A little hard to tell without actually looking at it but to be honest either option is not an expensive fix at all.

This is an odd one. If the indicators are working correctly, then the flasher unit is working so you should be hearing the noise.
It might just be that other background noises are drowning out the relay noise.
Turn your ignition on and activate the indicators. Stick your head under the steering wheel and see if you can hear it.
I had to double check my indicators the other day as I couldn't hear the relay, but I was coming off the motorway at the time, with the window down (povvy spec, no aircon)

So it sounds like I need a new relay. Is it easy to change?
