Hello all I know the answer here will be "buy another car" however that isn't really what I want to do.
I drive a 2002 Multiplexed 1.1. Due to one or two problems the best solution is an engine change.
I am ideally hoping to upgrade to a higher size (I would like to go to 180) however I feel this wouldn't be really possible without a lot of messing around however if anybody has done this or knows a lot about it I would most appreciate you posting.
Would a 1.6 be more suited?
Also what would I need engine (obviously), wiring, and BSI?
Many thanks in advance, as I said I don't want to buy another car really

1.6 engine, and a de immobilised 1.6 ecu that connects onto your engine loom

There's a user on here that put a 180 engine in his 1.1. His name on here is DWSR but there wasn't really any info I believe on how he did it. Anyone know what happened to him by any chance?

Cheers Addaz, sorry to pester again but how would I go about de immobilizing the ecu or is it something a local independent garage could do?

DSWR is currently being done for insurance fraud, he didnt declare his mods.
Plus his engine swap was all lies.

I had a feeling something wasn't right I mean which insurance company doesn't care about an 18 year old performing an engine transplant and doesn't increase the price of the policy. What was the point of all that? To impress a few people. What a muppet. Good he got caught before he had an accident

Too right! If you look in this picture he posted you will see the right side top mount is blue and the car is silver... Looks iffy to me! You will also notice that the engine is not in focus at all but the rest of the car is.

Is it me or does the engine not even look like its sitting straight. Not to mention the lines below the left top mount seem a little sharp, pretty sure there curved. Bless.

That image is photo-shopped!
You can see the whole engine bay is from another car. It came from a blue car...(note the blue passenger side shock area)
