Hi all,

Firstly appologies for my most recent post about 1.4hdi reliability issues.

Over the past few days i havent had much running on the motorway but havent noticed any problems in the past 100 or so miles ( was used on a1 for a short run each morning).

But having read the haynes again, app -accelerator pedal position sensor.. "possibly" at fault? As said previously it does appear to be intermittent.. suddenly driving along and engine returning to idle momenterilly and then the throttle comes back. Pressing and let off the throttle has no affect. Coming back of its own accord.

So.. assuming my 2002 multiplexed 1.4hdi hasnt got a throttle cable rather the sensor setup with the sensor in-built with the throttle pedal itself.

so..
anyone in west yorkshire that has pp2000? Or anyone have any links to the software and interface id need?
i doubt there's any fault codes as the eml doesnt come on or anything, from research others have said no fault codes have been found in there experience. But worth a try just to be sure. So if anyone has pp2000 that they would be willing to let me use in the west yorkshire area it would be hugely appreciated.

2nd point..

Is there a way to "reset or calibrate the app accelerator pedaol position sensor? I.e myself in a sequence or would it have to be plugged into pp2000?.
Also if the pedal is at fault... would i be able to disconnect the battery, leave it for an hour to be sure, and then disconnect the throttle pedal unit including unplugging the sensor and fitting new or good secondhand unit "Without having" to plug it in and set the position and such?.

If it has to be plugged in and recalibrated i.e new pedal fitted, whats involved and how long would setting up the new throttle pedal position take?.

Final point, bsi update! My trip mileage takes its reading from the last 3 numbers of the vehicle total mileage. been told the bsi needs to be updated, again can this be done through pp2000?

Sorry for the essay, been looking at other cars on the market and gone round in circles and driven myself nuts!! Last ditch attempt with this pug though as its causing a few money and arguments now..

Thanks in advance

Rob
