Hello removed my gear box on my 206 gti and was a right pain in the ass to get it out wiggled pulled and prodded and it came out  did damage my rad a little tho  doesn't leak tho so all good but my question is to get it back in im going to remove the gear box mount shaft the bit you undo the nut on. anyone have any ideas on how to remove this or what size it is seemed my spanners didnt fit tried with adjustable spanner but was bloody tight? or am i being stupid and will it go in with it on? any answers be much appreciated

no mate! the nut that you undo the gear box side mount, that threaded shaft! goes through the engine mount and that bolt you un do secures it to the mount?

The gearbox mount stud , to be removed before the gearbox is removed . You will need to buy a tool to undo the stud or cut the big round washer that stops you from removing the two bolts underneath .
undo the two bolts and remove the mount stud . Use thread lock when you put them back on .

Just a long 16mm on an impact gun will get it out

Project2062014 - that is what i mean that may be why i struggled as i got it out with the stud still attached! do i have to undo those 2 bolts then under the washer or can i get a socket over the stud?

Try a socket over the stud best option.
Mine just ate the stud & didn't spin . Was a pain I didn't have time to go buy a tool + i was sick of reading special tool in Haynes bs manual Tbh..
I would advise to fit a new mount & stud .I didn't & it's fine i cut as lititle off it as possible to get the bolts out.
Fair play for getting it out with the stud on. you have determination boio.
