So i recently got a Peugeot 206 LX 1.4 5dr. It's been serving me very well for the past 2 weeks but the engine warning light has been popping on and off occasionally (on for about 1-2 seconds) and then goes off for a bit.
I've noticed that it tends to do this only when im going somewhere between 30-40mph and somewhere near the 50mph.
But when i'm going 0-30mph or 55-80mph it doesn't come on at all.
Like i said, the light just pops on now and again and doesn't stay on consistantly.
And the light only pops on after i've been driving for about 20mins+
I don't experience any type of power loss that people mention when i have googled around to find a solution.
I know about electrical issues with these cars, would this affect the car? Do i need to take it immediately to the garage? I'm not really the best place in my life with money atm, so the cheapest solution would be best for me.
So yeah, any ideas? Might buy a £15 reader on ebay if need be.

The code read is your first step. If the EML came on then the code should be stored and it will point you in the right direction. Up until then it will be pure guesswork.
