Hi,
I have a 206GTi 2003. But the Steering wheel is locked, my little boy was playing and locked the steering without the key. So when I try to unlocked the steering using the keys don't work . I insert the key as usual and move the steering in both sides, and moving the key, but it doesn't work. The car is in economy mode active, I tried to other accumulator but the same. I can't to unlock the steering. Somethimes it was happened to me, but when i move the steering and key with some force It moves but now, not work. Anyone knows a secret for that .. Thanks for your help my i dont move my car two months ago.

To the best of my knowledge there is no electricals involved in the steering lock - purely mechanical. That it engaged when the wheel was moved with no key in the ignition is as per design. That one might have to pull on the wheel a bit (nothing excessive though) to be able to turn the key to unlock is also normal, in my experience.

To me it sounds like your lock is broken...

If the key can turn in the barrel then you can get it in to the service position & extract the barrel.

No I can not turn the key. I try to move the steering wheel at the same time i turn the key, but i cant.

The steering wheel in the locked position will still be able to move maybe an inch either way, move it this inch and turn the key. when the steering wheel is locked and hard against the lock it prevents the key from turning.

Hope that makes sense
