Looks to me like someone at some point may have fixed an issue with the gearbox and used replacement parts off the wrong car, that doesnt line up at all.

How long have you had the car?

I'm sure that's how it is . When I changed the clutch on a 1.9d I seem to remember staring at the fly wheel through the hole that was presented to me as it all looked out of line as yours does..

Check the sump & oil filter + housing . Try wiping all clean and running the car to see where it's leaking from trace it back .

.

If it aint broke dont fix it !

Yea I'm pretty sure it's meant to be like that now .. Was just a coincidence I suppose .. Seems to be coming from that seal tho . And it's deffo gearbox oil .. Don't think it's the filter but I'll double check.. Anybody had a similar leak ? Looks like al be getting rid of the car if not .. Don't wanna even attempt to fix and automatic box
