Just bought 05GTI & both seats will not lock into any driving position- only fully reclined. The tilt & slide is fine. I believe the ratchet mechanism is enclosed in the frame hinge. My question is does anyone know how to fix or it simply requires replaced. Does the front seats from 307cc fit straight in as a replacement. Thanks

Try it in the rearmost position .. they do have a habit of getting out-of-sync 307 seats are not likely to work ... but you can only try
