Hi folks,

for 2 months now I've been getting a ticking noise from the right side of the engine/water output/gearbox.

You can hear it when the hood is closed and it is difficult for me to localise it. But you can hear where it becomes louder. It's there in idle and it becomes louder under load.

I forgot to check if it's still there in case I press the cluth pedal. Have to check in a few days.

Maybe someone has any ideas.

So I assume it might be the hydraulic tappets? Appears to be a common problem with the 2.0 engine. Car has run 80.000km. Noise increases under load and acceleration, so depends on the revs.

It becomes louder under load? Or when revs are increased?
