Hi All,
I am new to the forum so hopefully I give enough information.
I have a 2001 pug 206 1.1 (I'm pretty sure not multiplexed).
Had the quick flashing indicator start up two days ago and figured I had blown a bulb on my indicator. I went out and got a new bulb and replaced it.
Didn't fix it so I figured it might be the contacts having too much corrosion. I took some contact cleaner and sandpaper to them tonight and that didn't fix it.
As I was working away to clean the contacts I noticed that it looks like a part of the circuit leading away from the bulb has broken off (see picture). I have no idea how this could have happened.
I assume that this is the source of my problem then? What can I do to replace the broken off piece or bridge the gap somehow?

Which indicator is it? Front, rear or side repeater? Sorry I don't remember what each looks like.

It is the rear right indicator light, sorry for not being clear on that.

I would have a look at mine for you but I have phase 2 tail lights.. Would it be easy enough for you to have a look at the other light? If you compare the difference and upload a photo of each if necessary I might be able to help you.

Hey I had a look at the other side and it seems they are identical. Perhaps a fuse issue? I have looked at a few fuse diagrams and cannot find a fuse for the indicator lights. Here is a picture of the other side and also of my fuse box.

Could it be the fuse if the other side is working correctly? Perhaps it is worth doing a soft reboot of the BSI?

Simple enough to try a reset.
By diagram 7, here , it looks like each indicator bulb, front/side/rear x left/right, has it's own output/wire from the BSI, but doesn't show any fuse except for the feeds to the BSI, and if one of those were out I'd expect more things to not work.
I'd take a multimeter/testlight to the wiring harness connector at the rear light and see if the signal is present there. If it is -> problem in the cluster. If not, check upstream, like output from the BSI, BSI internals.

Hey everyone,
I fixed it! Thanks for the advice. Ended up being a combination of three issues: The bulb was burnt, the terminals on the socket needed a good cleaning, and there must be something loose in the connection that leads into the bulb housing. I got the bulb to go on when the housing was detached from the car, but when I put it back onto the car it wasn't working again. I fiddled and jigged with the connector until I got the bulb to come on and now everything seems fine. Hopefully it stays stable.
