Hi guys where do i start have a 206 gti 1999 been a good car until about a month ago when it decided to randomly start cutting out while driving fast slow in high revs low revs really didnt make a difference. plugged it into diagnostics nothing showed up on errors changed plugs and coil pack still no different then the speedo broke but miles were still climbing so i ordered a speedo sensor today after two weeks of it not working car has played up no end today sometimes starting others will turn but fuel pump/nothing primes and while your turning the engine temp gauge goes into the red while your cranking it and with ignition on keeps going up and down. then it finally started after 10 minutes and trying & the speedo is now working again. im starting to think the car is playing games on me.
any feedback or anyone with similar problems & solutions would be appreciated.
im loosing faith

If the odometer is clocking up miles then the speed sensor is working.
Does the engine run with a bit of throttle applied?

So it only cuts out when no throttle is applied? It never cuts out when just cruising along?

no can cut out when throttle applied or on idle could be cruising or giving it some and obviously then really aggressively dives on the front end
